Who Are We
Barter Business Network (BBN), founded in 1999,
is a Commercial Trade Exchange Company that provides both online and offline
business-to-business (B2B) barter services for all businesses. Clients can trade online
via the Internet or through the assistance of our experienced Trade Coordinators.
BBN Network is responsible
for providing a Clearinghouse and acting as a third party record keeper. Client will
receive a monthly statement detailing the trade transactions and the account balance and
the fee due. Real time account information such as Current Activity and Transaction
History reports are available online.
Member businesses join, sell
their products or services, then buy for their businesses and potentially conserve cash.

Lim Kean Beng, aged
42, is the founder member of the company. An engineer by profession, he received his
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from University of Malaya in 1983.
In this capacity, he manages overall business growth and drives the
strategic vision of the company.
His experience in property sector ranges from residential, industrial,
commercial to resort and hotel development, including Timeshare and Golf Club membership
program. His varied exposure at senior positions over the past 15 years has given him
considerable experience and management expertise.
In his first international barter congress attendance in Vancouver, Canada
in September 1999, Mr Lim participated in the CTB program and was awarded the coveted
title of CTB of the barter industry.
CTB is an abbreviation for Certified Trade Broker, the highest
professional credential in the barter industry. The coveted CTB designation is awarded by
the International Reciprocal Trade Association to those
who complete a program of instruction, pass written and oral exams, and meet educational
and experience requirements.
Currently there are more than 150 Certified Trade Brokers worldwide.

Cheam Tow Yong, aged 44 is the co-
founder of the company. An accountant by profession, he graduated with a Bachelor of
Commerce Degree from University of Otago, New Zealand in 1979. He is a qualified Chartered
Accountant and is a Member of New Zealand Chartered Accountant Association and also a
member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Mr. Cheam has over 14 years experience in accounting and financial
management holding respective positions of senior accountant and financial controller in
both local and manufacturing businesses. As the financial controller of two multinational
companies, Mr. Cheam was involved in their start-up operations that gave him considerable
experience in all aspects of financial management, general administration and systems and
controls.
Prior to joining the Board, Mr. Cheam has also held the position of
Managing Director in a multinational electronics company for 5 years and managed a
headcount of over 500 employees. His experience in the senior management level in the
multinational business environment has exposed him to the best business management
practices and at the same time, exposed him to the tough demands within a multinational
corporate organization.

Edward Choong has over 17 years of debt
and equity financing experience gained from working with Capital Markets Divisions of
several large international banking institutions.His expertise includes Financial Risk
Management (Asset-backed securities and Structured derivative products).He has worked
mainly in the United States for most of his career but was based in Hong Kong for 5 years,
from 1994 to 1998.While in Hong Kong, he headed the Capital Markets and Structured
Products Group at Standard Chartered Bank and Credit Agricole Indosuez respectively, where
he established numerous banking relationships with Asian corporate and institutional
clients in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Singapore.
In 1999, Mr.Choong set up his own fund management company in the United
States.He has been actively involved in assisting high-tech and Internet start-ups in the
Asia Pacific region, raising venture capital financing as well as establishing strategic
and e-commerce alliances.Mr. Choong is a U.S. citizen and holds an MBA from the Columbia
University Graduate School of Business and a B. S. in Civil Engineering from Brown
University (1980).He is currently on the Boards of two Asian Internet companies.

Robert Teh joined Barter Business
Network as General Manager for Operations in May 2000. In this role, Robert develops and
manages the Marketing, Promotions, Clients Acquisition and Trade functions of BBN. His job
includes developing the companys sales and trade strategies, and managing the sales
and trade teams.
Robert is a graduate from the School of Management Studies, University of
Waikato, New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Management Studies degree with a major in
Marketing. He has held various management positions in Sales and Marketing, Business
Planning and Project Management in the services, manufacturing and property sectors. His
overseas assignments include job stints in New Zealand, Thailand and Japan.
Prior to joining BBN, he was involved in Project Promotion, Project
Funding and Investment; and Marketing and Leasing for retail, commercial and residential
properties. He has also worked as a Project Consultant for some corporate members of the
local Malay Chambers of Commerce.

Chng Kee Hiang, aged 29, graduated
from McGill University in Canada with major in Computer Science in 1995.He has over 8
years experience in programming and 3 years experience in web applications development.He
also has 5 years experience in Unix and NT system administration.
Prior to BBN, he has been working as Senior System Engineer in Solectron
Penang; a US based multi-national electronic subcontracting company. He was responsible
for administrating the Sun Enterprise 10000 Server, also known as the Starfire server,
which is the worlds leading 64 ways SMP server.He has also been responsible for the
Local Area Network and Wide Area Network Architecture design and implementation and
successfully setup the Internet infrastructure and maintained VPNs connectivity with all
other sites of the world.His role as a team leader of Solectron Internet Task Force has
given him considerable exposure in the Internet environment.

Teow Kha Sin,
a Canadian citizen, has more than 17 years of experience in Network and Storage
Technology. Graduated in 1982 from Univerity of Alberta with the Master of Science in
Computing Science. He had tremendous expericence in UNIX kernel and device driver
development, TCP/IP, network management, storage area network services and management.
He has been a key software engineer at HCR Inc. (now part of Santa Cruz
Operation);Canstar Division, Alcatel Canada; HP Canadian Network Operation and in the last
4.5 years, Brocade Communications System.
Kha Sin has also been actively contributing in essential industry
standards organizations such as ANSI T11 and IETF. He was the primary contributor of ANSI
T11 Fibre Channel Name Service, Common Transport, Time Service and IETF RFC2837.
